Two L-brackets per side keep the ramps from falling

My wife is disabled, and she bought a powered wheelchair to get around. I wanted to take her to the zoo for our anniversary, so I built these ramps and the floor support so that the wheelchair could be hauled around in the back of my car.

Mass-produced ramps cost $200 - $500 used. New ramps or lifts can cost thousands. Even with those, I'd have needed additional floor support since the floor of the hatchback is basically cardboard over the spare tire.

What you see here cost about $40 (Three 2x8s, a box of deck screws, a 4' 5/8" dowel rod, four L brackets and four door hinges)

This CNC machined aluminum bracket holds a Bosch 044 or similar sized pump. Also perfectly sized to hold the Radium in-line fuel filter.
