Lots of fungus about at The Lodge today. Some had been labelled by RSPB staff, and some I've not managed to identify.
This looked like turkey tail fungus, but it was huge, possibly measuring 18" across.
RSPB Reserve at The Lodge, Sandy, Bedfordshire UK.
Misc. brackets, 1969 Firebird. Core support/hood latch bracket, under dash brackets for courtesy light and blinker relay (sold).
I chose this building for the brackets up on the corner of the building. This is an old building and has the good architectural elements that I was looking for. This is the Lawrence & Chapin Building in Kalamazoo, MI.
I am reliably informed that this is a type of Bracket Fungus often referred to as 'Chicken of the Woods'.
Based on some googling, I believe this is Laetiporus sulphureus also known as the "Chicken of the Woods." Apparently edible but must be cooked.
