This is a practice shot for this weeks SSC challenge - looking down. Two old storage boxes from a charity shop and some of the semi-precious stones collected from the floor of the Scratch Patch in Cape Town many years ago.

Through them, Brey speaks to the infinity of the natural world, the sublime possibilities of one’s dreams and imagination. In part, thee works also act as psychological container of fractured history, blurred and concise memories and through material, form and experience, enter the fifth dimension. welcome to my neighborhood! this photo was taken just a couple blocks from where i live. as can be seen peeking out from behind the road construction chaos, we have a fab old movie palace here :-)
this venue, the music box theater, was designed by louis simon and opened in 1929. it's interior has been beautifully restored, and it is a popular place to see indie and foreign films.
I love to transform ordinary things into something special. I covered plain match boxes with vintage style prints, shabby pink roses and a pinch of glitter. I make these in many different themes and they sell like hot cakes in my shops.
First build of boxes ten years ago... now, more room for weapons and other stuffs ;)

We baked her a box with a mixture of vanilla & strawberry, vanilla chocolate chip and double chocolate cupcakes all topped with big swirls of chocolate and vanilla buttercream! We added fresh strawberries, edible pearls, sprinkles, flakes and lots of edible glitter!

The Somerset & Dorset Type 1 box at Cole was situated a the south end of the up platform. The wooden structure opened in 1879 and contained a Steven & Sons Tappet frame of 14 levers including 3 push-pull levers, controlled the entrance to the small goods yard situated on the down side and two mains crossovers. The goods yard closed on 5th April 1965, the box following on 31st May 1965.

This antique hand-painted document box, circa late 18th to early 19th Century, might have been part of a dowry. It ended up back where it came from, at the Allis Bushnell House. It was originally Chloe Scranton’s (Bushnell) box. We have a picture of her at flic.kr/p/SbCgS5.

These are the photo boxes where I keep my Moleskine notebooks as well as some of the nicer journals. What doesn't fit in them is kept in the same armoire until I get another box.
