The Spanish brought chocolate to Europe when they conquered South America in the 16th century but in recent generations they have not been kown for their chocolate skills. That is, until now.
This small box is from a new chain of chocolate stores named Xocao. In two layers the upper layers contain: pistachio milk, green tea milk, cardomam white, and 4 spices white - each just as tasty as the other!
The best opening box since almost 7 years that i'm in the hobby! These heads are awesome, feels so human, even blank they can tell a story! Drazen head is a gift for my twin sister $avage here on flickr ^^ Freegifs are glass eyes, eyeputty and an hook for head!
An iPad (or similar device) can serve as a portable light box for viewing and inspecting photographic negs, in this case square 120 film negs of Manchester Cathedral and the interior of the Barton Arcade taken with a Yashica TLR camera.

After a busy morning working in the garden, I went out there with the camera & was surprised to find this. I think it is a Box Bug. Prior to 1990 only found within a few kilometers of Box hill Surrey but since then spreading slowly north. Just a very few records so far for our area
The notice on the door of this red telephone box on the corner of Mayfair Place and Berkeley Street says that as it is not used enough it is to be removed. One of the iconic images of Britain is slowly disappearing.
This is what the apartment looks like...if you're coming to visit in the next two days please bring boxes and beer.
I was today at the Amateur Box Competition in Aarau for documenting it.
This is one of the most action loaded shots, but more will follow.
Please press "L" for the light box, much more impressive.
This is my version of a gift box cake that I made at an Andrea Sweetcakers class on Sunday. This is a dummy cake so I did not add too many details, I will be reproducing this cake "in real mode" at the end of the month. All the cakes from all the students were amazing ..
For A Year of Dolls! Odds & Evens - January 17.
Malorie and Whimzy are celebrating Malorie's new hairs by looking through a box full of their great grandma's vintage costume jewelry.
I made this using yummy goodies from Emma's Paperie...I'm guest designing there this month! I used Dream Street papers by Audrey Neal, Owl paper by Sassafras Lass, mini Jenni Bowlin paper and tickets, and Making Memories epoxy accents to decorate this scalloped keepsake box...=) So much fun! Thanks for peeking!
I wanted to use some of my scraps and began to sew them together, cut them up and sew them back together again .
Our second box of "misfit produce" has arrived! This isn't the most artistic photo, but it shows all the contents. We found the most interesting item this time to be sunchokes, also known as Jerusalem artichokes. We'd never heard of them!
After a quick internet search, we cut them up, roasted them all, and ate them as we watched Netflix. Delicious!
I've been meaning to do a still life shot of these boxes for some time. I set them in front of my computer monitor, with a white screen.

The 30 lever Saxby & Farmer (1874 Patent) 'Rocker' frame of 30 levers in Ancaster box would appear to have been second-hand as the frame dates from 1887, but the box itself opened on 1st December 1873.
Can anyone explain why some of the levers have only been painted white halfway down. Are they no longer in-use but have been kept to maintain the locking in the frame?
Sorry buddy, no means no! This male box turtle was attempting to mate with this female, but she thwarted his efforts by retreating into her shell (she was already in her shell when I encountered them). If the female was carrying eggs, they were probably already fertilized which is a possible reason for the rejection. Female box turtles can store sperm for months or even years, but I am not sure if they do so when their current clutch is already fertilized. Maybe one of you can help answer this question?? Shot with a 300mm lens. -MA
I always thought that red letter boxes were something the British had (and possibly exported to other countries when it had colonies). Was very interested to see that the letter boxes on Faial Island in the Azores (part of Portugal) also had their own red letter boxes.
The big building behind is an old Jesuit College and now houses the local museum.
Another fascinating aspect of Horta (the town on Faial Island) is that all the streets have different designs embedded into the pavements (sidewalks). Some had ships, others anchors, etc etc. Lovely.
The box for the Kombi was described by Kemper as a "cloth covered carrying case", which is accurate, and does sound better than "box". The camera fits only one way, as the inside has a slot cut in one side to fit the shutter actuator.
