The previous owner of this house had made a planter box from treated 2x12s around a back yard tree. The tree grew and pushed the box apart so I replaced the planter with a larger box made of Cedar.
I used box joints with half inch pins to assemble the new planter. The new box was more than four feet on two sides, I had to move the table saw to the driveway because the boards clamped to the carriage hit the roof trusses.
Brought some Album record boxes after my kids had help me clear the loft out ready for the move. Found to have around 500 albums and 12" singles not including the boxes of 7" singles I also had in the loft.

The Boxee Box powered on.
The logo is quite distracting. If you put it next to your TV and watch something in a dark room, it's extremely distracting. Thankfully you can shove it out of sight since it uses RF for the remote (which is what I've done with mine), but it's a bit annoying since it's kinda cool to look at and it would be nice to keep it out and on display.
This photo shows the Boxee Box switched on - if you put it into sleep mode it dims the logo a bit, and when it's switched off completely, the logo is also switched off.

I was figuring a box with 45 degree edges and came up with these, only one problem, cant figure the bottom part. You can make these with two dollars and three dollar bills. If you want you can use up to six dollars for the hexagonal. Easy to fold and assemble.

Finally got this one done!!! This is for my sister's birthday. She collects bears (has all kinds except live ones and I wouldn't be surprised if she got one of those too - LOL!) so the collection theme was pretty obvious for me. The problem with the boxes is the individual boxes are pretty small so I really had to search for small enough items.

My trusty soap box. I don't remember how long I've had it, but I like to imagine it's been with me on all of my favorite trips all over the country.
I like to pack light when I travel. This once meant only packing one pair of pants for a camping trip. Then those pants ripped in a very unmodest way and I had to wear my pajamas all weekend. Packing light now means I bring my camera, two pairs of pants and some awesome soap. Whether I'm camping next to my favorite bog, at the most run-down campground in Washington state, showering in a Kentucky KOA, or canoeing the Flint river, I enjoy a nice smelling, clean rinsing bar of handmade soap.
In my quest for multi-purpose efficient camping soap, I once purchased "Dr. Bronner's Magic Liquid Soap" in peppermint. It's advertised as a body soap, shampoo, [a bunch of other stuff] and toothpaste. Sounded efficient to me. I took it camping and tried brushing my teeth with it- surprisingly it tasted like castile soap. And it made my hair all gooey. I learned to stick with using specific products for specific cleaning tasks.
