Flintstones Ed-u-card - box top.

Packaged very differently than the pullips! It's a pretty box tho. I'd seen a J-Doll before, but this was my first time seeing a J-Doll box...

Wooden box, stained glass, glass beads

Brayton Signal Box was a NER designed box that was situated south of Selby on the East Coast Main Line. It controlled rail traffic at Brayton Junction which was the route from Selby off to the port town of Goole which branched off the ECML. It became a Gate Box in 1973 controlling the level crossing and closed on 6th March 1988. The box has long been demolished.

Another NER Type 2 box, Winning Signal Box protects a level crossing and junction, and controls traffic to and from Cambois, Ashington and Bedlington. Nowadays this is mainly composed of Alcan traffic, and coal traffic to Battleship Wharf, but previously it also included trains serving Blyth Power Station.

Again there is a 16 level McKenzie & Holland frame.

Originally a slide from 1979. When I saw the boxes it was only 34 years after WW2, so there could have been something lethal still inside.

The former signal box closed in 1994 and was denied a dignified end as is was the victim of an arson attack.

The line to the right goes into the exchange sidings still in use today, behind the box is the former station buildings.

Dollar bill box

Modified to a dollar bill from a square.

I found the wooden boxes on the street in Finsbury Park a few years ago. I've had the spice bottles for years, and refill from loose or cello packs. I am slowly replacing the clear glass bottles with Taylors Mustard bottles (top shelf with the yellow lids), as and when I finish eating the mustard. (Big bottle with yellow lid is a Marmite jar.)

I buy Taylors mustard because I like the taste, but equally importantly, because it is a small company who manufacture in Cheshire. The bottles are brown (so good for spice storage) and the label comes right off with a bit of water. (So none of those industrial glues many big companies use on their products.)

Everything else is either upcycled from food purchses (such as the Lavazza coffee tin and the two green/yellow boxes which housed Japanese tofu) or purchased at second hand shops (the 60s ceramic container and 70s orange tureen which holds onions and garlic).

My soy milk maker is at the left. Fifty quid on eBay and it's saved that much already. Plus no more tetra paks which aren't recyclable. And the family who own tetra pak include the dissolute Mayfair heir who's a heroin addict and his wife who was arrested in 2008 for trying to smuggle crack into the American Embassy in London. I have NO interest in supporting rich crack heads and neither should you. Avoid tetra paks where possible. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-558569/Drugs-billionaire...

At Arborfield, the red phone box is just that, a box. No longer housing a telephone, what next? A library like Riseley, a defibrillator like Sonning?
