I've often thought that the use of slow exposures for streams and waterfalls is overused. It turns everything into milk. Which is OK, if that's what you want, but it detracts from the, well, "wateryness" of the image! I had the opportunity to play with a very small artificial waterfall today, and I experimented with different shutter speeds. I wanted to find a compromise between "freezing" the water and losing its essence through too long of an exposure. So, what do you think?

First attempt at high speed photography. I needed something "easy" to setup, that wouldn't leave any mess, so i could test my new Triggertrap kit.
No way would you catch me doing this! My daughter, on the other hand, would have spent the day on the bungee trampoline if she'd had enough pocket money!
#200 in my photo-a-day project.
This picture doesn't really do the model justice, since it's really hard to photograph 3D objects with a digital camera for some reason. And it's even harder when you're trying to show this model in action. As always on these Tuesday uploads, there's a tutorial available: www.youtube.com/watch?v=je5JdMuzbQ4&list=UUvbm12WPi6P...
Also, this model is really simple, and it's possible that someone has already designed this, or some similar model. If you come across someone else's design, please let me know, since I like to give credit where it's due.
The first time I saw you was in a train station. We had only exchanged a few e-mails before and I didn't know how you looked like. And I remember it perfectly, you called me and told me "don't worry, I'll start jumping up and down when I see you".
There's something about you that just reassures me. Maybe it's in the way you move your hands, or perhaps it's in your voice.
Sleepless nights, endless adventures.
I love this guy 'cause no matter how rough the ride he just keeps on calmly smiling. When my sister's speedometer was broken she could tell how fast by how he was bouncing!
Who said that eggs are used for eating only?…
For a change… Can we do an experiment with an egg?
Kids were astonished to see an egg bouncing, during their Science Surfers class.
They did it…
They demonstrated their scientific abilities, by making bubbles out of vinegar and soda for science experiment. This made them surprised and excited, to find out that they could carry out experiments by themselves.
Creativity has no ends. The Cool Architects designed their own buildings, and had it made out of different colors.
We further sorted shapes, learnt phonic "N" vocabulary and pencil control on numbers.
We had such fun.
Learning was awesome, as kids revised phonic ‘P’ by making popcorn craft.
Kids exploited their numeracy skills by matching numbers on popsicles to the numbers on the flash cards and ended up with a game of shape matching.
bras filled with water balloons. Got to make it around the track without losing your water, then pass it off in a relay. Weird, but also awesome.
