As if he's pushing my face out saying "ME! It's all about MEEE in this picture!"

Off camera flash, just one Nikon SB-800 bounced (silver umbrella), i-TTL, white projector screen as background.

Light is reflected down onto the red walls of Weano Gorge from far above.

When I saw the A2 sized envelope the girl brought home I knew I had to test out it's light bouncing ability.

I think it passes with flying colours.

Day 251 of 365

"Cousins"

Alright, I admit that I did not push myself creatively today, but when you have two (at least 1) willing models, you can't pass up the opportunity. I had the lighting setup arranged for the hookah experiment, and figured that a tent of light would not look too bad on a couple of lovely young ladies. So, there are white bed sheets hanging on both sides, with a strobe behind each. The background is blown out with a third strobe, and the rest of the lighting......is actually bounced light. There are pieces of foamcore on both sides of the lens, and there is a white sheet draping directly over their heads. There are essentially no shadows to be found. It's a very airy setup, and it works for just about anybody......anybody who does not mind climbing into a tent of light. Thanks for carefully stepping in!!

Speedlight set at -1/3 power bounced off ceiling.

Title says it all. Man I'm so scruffy, I need to shave more often... Anyways, just me goofing off with bounced natural light. Sun through the window behind me, and to camera right. Big piece of foam core slightly below my face, and to camera left. I had it at f8, and 1/60th to eat the ambient light.

Personal fave. Pog just looks like he's right out of a Rembrandt. Low key, bounced light gave me em pink-brown skin tones. Just gad damn oober-love this snap! :) Whaddayouthink??? :)

I play around with all sorts of combinations of light and set ups these day. This was a total surprise result...but I liked it!

Didn't I see something like this on Shark Week?

Oddly enough, Andre thinks nothing of standing right on my chest and tries to pin me to the ground. Surprisingly, this provided an excellent distraction for taking a 1 handed photograph.

Energy... With puppies, it's all about the kinetic energy... or we'll just call it "play" for short! ;-p

Preening before his closeup!

Sometimes one has to stop and think for a moment before moving on to the fast lane...

Rachel's instructor made a comment about how his blue shirt really stood out in the pic after I showed it to him in the camera lcd monitor.

I guess it does now.

My eldest daughter, and her husband, came by to visit last night. She brought my youngest grandson so we could see him (and grandpa could snap pics).
