I've been looking a lot online again at getting myself a nice macro lens, but the wallet doesn't want to seem to cooperate. So I'll stick with the DIY macro and took this with the inverted 50mm lens. It's just a bottlecap from a Hoegarden I had last night. I think it looks pretty cool. Going to keep saving for that macro lens....
I love the teeny, tiny pix that Artchix makes! Diamond Glaze, glass beads, heart eyelet, a few sequins.
Close up of the bottlecaps I sent to agonysdecay. She mentioned on her profile she likes turtles, so I made one with a cute turtle in and a charm. She also likes the nightmare before christmas so I bought these stickers and made that one, it will glow in the dark. I finally made her one with her name on it :)

Sobe, sometimes you offer wisdom. Other times, you just confuse me.

Put in a few hours at work today, then ran by Hy-Vee to grab a little food for Emily and I to snack on. Then it was off to Eppley to pick her up.
On the drive over to Kim's for a little BBQ, she told me some of the crazy tales that had happened on her vegas adventure. Kim and Jarad were already setup when we got there, and then Kevin and Stacie, Mike, Kevin and Sara and a couple of Kim's friends showed up. Nice afternoon hanging out with everybody.
This is a custom bracelet we made. The customer happened to be in town, so they picked out their own caps. I think it came out well :)
For a group swap on swap-bot. It is about 1.2" high and the same in diameter. I got instructions from verybigjen's Flickr tutorial www.flickr.com/photos/verybigjen/sets/72057594099768007 and her article here www.craftstylish.com/item/945/how-to-make-pretty-pincushions.
Pink, blue and white flowers with swirl stems are in the pictured garden. The background has gold dots and yellow glitter dots floating around, they remind me of fireflies. The pendant is hanging form a black chain about 10.5" long. Attached to the chain are Teardrop Beads clear with a tint of purple to them.
this is a test shot taken when I bought the new camera. some folks at work liked it so figured i'd post it and see what everyone else thought.
I made this for my Dad's birthday a few years ago. The images are from the family home in Upstate NY. I colorized them, printed them out, and decoupaged them onto the frame. Inside the frame are bottle caps from a kind of soda Dad used to drink when he was there.
