Influence by Japanese boro techinique.

A borosilicate piece, one of my first using this kind of glass. It melts at a higher temperature than I am used to. It is really a dark sparkly color. Then I made a cap for it out of polymer clay, and then electroformed it. Love this unusual piece.

Here's a bit of a detail - it's kind of nice to do the hand stitching. I might do an overlay of embroidery, but we'll see when I get a little further along.
