I would like to introduce to you the most spoiled child in the world and he's really not even a child, but I won't tell my Dad that. This is Rowdy my youngest brother, and the one who gets everything in the will. The fishing was a bit slow so my Dad put Rowdy in his lap to have a little rest. He carried him around the whole day because the rocks might hurt his feet.

Amazing how they managed to figure out the geology using equipment like this, although percussive boring is still used today. must have been a very slow process. I don't find it boring personally compared to she who must be obeyed.
This Boreal (Tengmalm's) Owl was tape-lured and ringed at the island Fedje in Western Norway 9 October 2011. It is the first record for the island. Note the transparent nictitating membrane on the birds left eye. For predators such as owls this membrane is crucial for maintaining visibility while cleaning the eyes during hunting.
I hate english lessons... I often find myself making words with my ruler, which has the alphabet in it, as you can see. I can't concentrate on whatever movie or book we're supposed to be taking notes about... I think this one was notes for an essay on the movie Little Miss Sunshine
On the Long Pond Trail today, with the help of a couple of new Canon-shooter friends who were putting out nuts and seeds to attract them.

The Bay of Fundy has huge tides wanting to see the tidal bore or incoming which is a phenomenon in these parts we headed to local spot to view. So did half a dozen others but instead of a 18" it was maybe 12" , still fascinating and you could hear it coming like a faint freight train ,BEST VIEWED SLIDESHOW@ 1 SECOND INTERVALS
