Point Pelee National Park has a very unique type of forest in Canada. The forest there is incredibly lush, thick and covered with vines. It's actually more similar to a jungle than a boreal forest. So I've named it a boreal jungle.

I was bored and procrastinating cleaning my apartment. So I took a bunch of pictures of my aloe plants. I bought one from a lady at work for $1. Now I have 6 in my living room and 2 big ones in my bedroom that have about 22 babies between them. What am I supposed to do with so many aloe plants? Now I see why she was selling them off.
Sometimes I work on the most boring photos I can find. This was shot a little north of Edinberg, NY.

This male is approximately 5 years old. Boreal Owls make a noise like a snipe which I'm pretty sure I heard up at the cabin last weekend.
This is my third attempt at getting a decent image of these guys! They are quite elusive, and spend most of their time in the interior of dense spruces.
