.“There's no excuse to be bored. Sad, yes. Angry, yes. Depressed, yes. Crazy, yes. But there's no excuse for boredom, ever.”
Tutti che parlano e si fanno gli affari loro... e io qui ad aspettare... umani! Uffa... voglio la mia passeggiata!

One of a series of 'Just mucking about' kind of images from a bored evening on holiday in Somerset a fortnight ago.
Trying to see if I could do one of those basketish type things Captain Blithering does so preposterously well.
My "dull picture for May 2008" goes to this one. Excitingly we had a police helicopter floating around with its searchlight and generally making a bloody racket over the course of half an hour or so one evening. So I go to take a photo, get one experimental shot and they bugger off. No consideration, some people.
The Bay of Fundy has huge tides wanting to see the tidal bore or incoming which is a phenomenon in these parts we headed to local spot to view. So did half a dozen others but instead of a 18" it was maybe 12" , still fascinating and you could hear it coming like a faint freight train ,BEST VIEWED SLIDESHOW@ 1 SECOND INTERVALS
A magical night of owling, and finding an adult Boreal Owl is always a surreal moment. They are so reclusive and are often heard only. This one was very cooperative and allowed us to watch it for up to several minutes. We saw up to eight species of owls within 1.5 days including: Boreal, Spotted, Long eared, Northern Saw-Whet, Northern Pygmy, Barred, Great Horned and Western Screech Owls! For fancy chickens, we saw a male Spruce Grouse, Ruffed Grouse, and 8 Mountain Quail!
Soren was sitting in the car while I took a few pictures... the look on his face told me he was ready to go... :p
I have a small closet and too many clothes so I have to keep the alternate season in wheely boxes under my bed. Since it is October, I guess it's time to roll out the sweaters and the shoes. Bye fun skirts. So long flip flops. I'll miss you. *sniffle*
For four hours, we had to wait,
because our flight home was delayed.
Bored I took pictures of everything around,
even this little piece of metal I found...
On the saturday of the school excursion to Rome, we went home. Because of bad weather, our flight was delayed and we were all really bored. That's why I started to take weird pictures of everybody and all objects that I normally would not have taken a picture of. That's why this isn't the best photograph, but I thought it illustrated my boredom the best. But it was still a lot of fun on the airport, since we invented the most original ways of entertaining ourselves. Sometimes being obliged to wait is the best way to find inspiration ;)
I'm really sorry that I've not posted anything for such a long time, but I've been very busy and focussing on my songs (www.youtube.com/SoSiNGWritER), of which I hope to upload the intro's to flickr, to let you know when I've uploaded a new song. I will not always have time for this, but normally I upload a song every three weeks, in the weekends. The next song (the day I wrote this, was August 10, 2011) will be uploaded on August 20. This date is fixed, since it is a special song, so please check it out!
I also want to thank you all very much for viewing my photograps, commenting and supporting me all this time. Comments, favorites etc. are really appreciated!
The winter of 2018 has apparently been an "irruption" year for Boreal Owls, because of a lack of food in the Taiga forced many to wander south and find food (I.e rodents). When they fly south, they are stopped from traveling any further by Lake Superior (in the background of the video), and then follow the coast of the Lake until they are close to Duluth, which causes a "pileup" of both Boreal and Great Gray Owls. This "pileup" accumulated a total of 4 Boreal Owls. St. Louis County, Minnesota. This photo is of the original tree I spotted it in, but it was bumped multiple times by photographers who followed us to the bird. It did come closer for better views later.
