There is a huge amount of new snow in the northern Sierra Nevada, aswe have had near record snowfall this winter. It's not clear if this Boreal ski lift is closed due to the amount of snow, or -- more likely -- the relative lack of people on a Monday afternoon. There are people skiing and boarding on other runs, and seeming to have a great time. I regret I don't ski downhill anymore.
Class is really boring and I need to stay awake!!

At least a year ago I wrote a letter to Sultana asking about the doll being used in their commercials. All I got was a lousy print, but you can buy this critter now (www.sultana.nl)!

LOL, surprised even myself when I opened this image on Flickr - not bad feather detail for a dark forest photo! These little guys are so cute and it's such a treat when one or two of them visit us on our walks with their friends, the little Black-capped Chickadees : ) Seen on October 16th at Bebo Grove, Fish Creek Park.

I a m not sure if he/she was getting bored with me clicking away every time she/he moved, but it gave me a great image. Trying out my new camera and lens.
so after i moved out, my mom sold our huge, rambling victorian in the ghetto and moved (temporarily) into an apartment. i figured she would exercise some good sense, and like most reasonable people with empty nests, move into a condo. but no. what did she do? she bought another huge, rambling, somewhat delapidated home.
anyway, as a child we never had much money. i slept on a box spring on the floor under my sesame street quilt until i was a 13. then i upgraded to a black sleeping bag. a but since she's more financially secure, she likes to spoil my children. she has a whole room in her new place for my girls, replete with a four poster bed. it's outfitted for a princess, lavish with fluffy pillows, a snazzy quilt, and one of those cool princess netting things hanging from the ceiling. i climbed under it today and relaxed while my mom and two year old played on the floor. after a while, i got bored and started playing with my camera. the light was no good. this is the only shot i got.
