Spotted this small owl at the top of this 20+ ft tree. It was still there when I returned with my camera an hour later.
Not sure how it is balanced up there and what it is holding onto. I kept calling to it to get it to look at me.
Not nearly as impressive as most the owl and bird shots I have seen on flickr, but I was thrilled to see the owl.
My husband once found a boreal owl tangled in kite string. He untangled it and it was able to fly away unharmed. These are very small owls.

look at their faces.we all were sitting in a cafe,doing our presentation on country risk analysis and we all were TRYING to find out info for the country that we had chosen.but alas..in all the data mess it was beginning to look boring..the graphs the data the numbers...how about one more cup of coffee.

this is painted along my running route and every time i get trapped in a cycle of thinking "this is boring!" on repeat. really motivational!

Kendal single-mindedly block the Barrow bowling at the Ernest Pass Memorial Ground as they grind out a losing draw in the Chorley Building Society Northern Premier Cricket League. Owing to a late start because of rain, the match was reduced to 33 overs per side.
Match statistics: Barrow 174-8 off 33 overs (Michael Wellings 52no, Tharanga Paranavitana 34, Saeed Bariwala 3-38) 7pts drew with Kendal 127-6 off 33 overs (Eldred Hawken 52, Tharanga Paranavitana 3-47, Daryl Wearing 2-16) 3pts. Barrow won the toss and elected to bat. Free admission. Programme (28pp) £2. Attendance: 45. Teas available.
Barrow Cricket Club, founded in 1856, have played at the Ernest Pass Memorial Ground, off Abbey Road, since 1927. They moved from Cavendish Park to land bequeathed by a former chairman in memory of his son, killed in action during World War One. In 1892, Barrow became a founder member of the North Lancashire League. The club switched to the Northern Premier League in 2004.
