It always amazes me how these early 20th century American magnates had to build these European-style palaces for themselves.... (Getty, Hearst, the Ringlings...) It's serious compensating....
sweet mary jane, which is almost the classic and all time favorite!
I am using wooden buttons for the booties, as I think wooden buttons fit perfectly on handmade booties.
When college friends added a girl to their brood of three boys, I wanted to make at least a small something to celebrate the new addition. I had just enough yarn from a Knitpicks prize to knit these up. (The four skeins - green, orange, yellow and pink - also provided enough for a baby surprise jacket, another pair of knitted booties, and the stripes/flower on a crocheted set. There's still a bit of green left.)
Noro Silk garden sock yarn. Fraternal pair knit for some fraternal twins born prematurely so I hope these will fit otherwise I can knit some bigger booties. :)
These precious baby slippers/booties were made with Lily's Sugar'n Cream Cotton Yarn in "Hot Green". They were finished off with yummy light yellow ribbon and then adorned with an ecru ribbon rose. They measure approximately 4 inches and should fit a baby 3-6 months old.
What I love about the sugar'n cream yarn is that it can be worn year round. These slippers could be worn with a sundress or baby jeans or PJs. They are that cute!
These cute baby booties will cushion and warm your child's or grandchild's precious feet. These booties are made of soft, cozy genuine sheepskin. We have designed them with your child's feet in mind - using pliable soft soles for when you toddler starts walking. You can be assured of quality detailing inside and out. Braided cotton ties, reinforcement tab, nylon thread and a thick sheepskin lining that provides comfort and durability.

I made these as part of the Saartje's Booties KAL on Ravelry. I love how thay came out although I did need to go up a needle size, and make some slight mods to the pattern
I made these booties as a gift and they came out so cute that I decided to write a pattern.
