For Macro Mondays
This week's theme: Bookmark
This is the top portion of a bookmark my granddaughter made for me several years ago made of postage stamps stuck to a strip of cardboard.
HMM
As an avid reader and a big Sci-Fi fan, especially Isaac Asimov, this tiny robot bookmark (only 1.5cm high) has always been a favourite of mine.
This is a Book that I have been reading for over Fifty years, it's words of Wisdom have been a source of comfort and joy....A favourite verse about Love
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Still life photo of purple flowers marking a spot in an old book.
Developed and color-graded with Darktable 3.6.0. A light grain texture was added with Photoshop.
5 Pointillism style Miniature paintings on another side of bookmark by Ganesh Kelagina Beedu Shenoy (me).
I’ll use anything as a bookmark. Grocery receipts are common as are candy wrappers if they’re not sticky. And as I’ve depicted here a dollar bill on occasion. This results in me finding one now and then when I pick up a book I’ve let set for a while. It’s like finding a tiny treasure. Thanks to everyone that stopped by to look, like, and comment pro or con. HMM!

Macro Mondays 'bookmark' theme.
A little bookmark made from an old coin. I nearly ordered a new bookmark for this as I couldn't find the one I wanted to use but as it might not have arrived in time I went with one of those I could find!
The image measures a fraction under the 3 inch limit.
ANSH 109 (8) phobias (not necessarily your own)
Fortunately I don't have either of the phobias represented in this image, bibliophobia (fear of books) and cuprolaminophobia (fear of coins).
Crazy Tuesday: theme bookmarks

As you see, this book has a marker on two different pages! What do you grab? A paper towel and a post-it note!
We are on the road to home from Florida to Tennessee to Iowa. We will be home late tomorrow night after being caregivers for family for 6 months.
I was a teacher - librarian for most of my teaching career!!! I have gorgeous bookmarks at home but cannot make the deadline for this MM Challenge!!!
Looking Close... on Friday: Black
This is the first page of a classic French ballet novel, which was turned into a TV series in the 1950s. The book is called "La porte interdite" (The Forbidden Door) and the series was titled "L'âge heureux". Lots of ballet lovers still dream of little ballerinas in white tutus playing on the Opera roof in the Paris night.
I must confess that I was the one who colored the leotards of the little dancers in the illustration, many years ago, during one of my many readings of the book.
