Lily is very protective of her bone. Got into a snarling match with the Boston Terrier that was at work too. Lily would not sit still for many "good" photos. Being the day before Thanksgiving, not many people were in the office, so two of my coworkers brought in their dogs. We didn't get much work done. I mostly took photos.
Roasted marrow bones, parsley salad served with grilled sourdough bread and sea salt, which really enlivened the flavors of the marrow. I think these are from the femurs of an unfortunate calf.
This was probably the most interesting dish of the night. I've seen this a few times on the Food Network, but it seemed too in-your-face for my tastes. The parsley salad was almost inedible. It wasn't the preparation, it was the parsley. It's just not a good leaf to use for a salad, I think.

2009. One of several screen haunter variations (Dept 56/Possible Dreams). Either static, battery lit or with USB sound and movement. My Bones was purchased from ROSS. Bones is battery operated; Witchy Woman is USB powered and has movement and sound. Frank and Hattie Witch I believe are static (cute friendly faces). I haven't seen Fang (vampire) yet on the shelves.
We were hiking and found these bones by the side of the trail. Antje is clearly not squeamish. Everyday is Halloween.
Winter is my least favorite season. I went for a hike yesterday determined to find the beauty in it. I did. I realized how important this season is to renew and get down the the essentials.
