Making my face lighter than my neck wasn't hard, I'd just gone to the beach the day before so my foundation doesn't quite match lol
I don't have a plum lipstick or liner so I used a plum gloss to "line" my lips =P
When you hear the word "Dubai" I'll bet you think skyscrapers, bling hotels and winter sunshine, but as I discovered this last weekend, it is a city of two parts - more in fact. I was lucky enough to spend 48hrs exploring Dubai's fascinating streets with a group of amazing people, as part of the 6th FindingYourselfInTheStreets Street Photography workshop. I learned loads, got to do nothing but focus on taking photos and have come back feeling revitalised. I'm currently going through my pictures to choose my best/favourite and this one jumped out at me as being evocative of A Special Place (ODC) and one of my best from last week (for The Flickr Lounge).
Oh, and I'm really keen to join #FYITS for another workshop sometime in the future, should the fates be with me.

These gorgeously elegant earrings are handwoven with swarovski crystal pearls and toho japanese seed beads. This is a design I created to go with a beaded cuff. I am able to make these in any color swarovski pearl to go with that special dress.

I don't know why I bothered doing this, it's not funny to me at all because I never watch bollywood movies.
Statement earrings with a Bollywood style, these chandelier style earrings feature rows of bright blue and pink beads with larger pink melon beads as an accent. I formed the swirled earrings out of hammered brass wire, and then wove each bead onto the armature using brick stitch. Each bead is woven in separately, and heavy duty nymo thread was used throughout. There is a dangling bead in the middle for extra movement. The beaded swirls are hung on gracefully curved brass ear wires. Despite their size, these earrings are fairly lightweight.
The earrings at the widest point across measure 1.25 inches and the overall length of the earrings from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the beaded hoop measure 2 inches.(Overall dimensions: 3.2 cm x 5.1 cm)

But who else could it be? The shades, the jeans, there's no stopping him.
Right after I took the shot, he walked over, lowered his shades, and gave me an accepting knod. I was waiting for everyone around me to break out into an amazing dance,... but alas, no luck tonight.

Sad to report that these Bollywood rickshaw mudflaps are not as common as a few years back. There's more sticker work than there was but generally the new rickshaws don't have mudflaps at all. Am glad I documented them when I did and will still look around on future trips in hope of finding choice specimens to added to the collection.

The earrings are bead embroidered around gorgeous Swarovski Pacific blue opal and green gold-plated montees with fuchsia and pacific opal Sawraovski crystals, gold Japanese seed beads and 24 k. gold-plated Czech druk beads.
The earrings are lined with dark purple Ultrasuede and hang from 24 k. gold-plated ear-wires. They measure 2 ½” (c. 6.5 cm) from the bottom of the earring post down and 1 ½” (c. 4 cm) at the widest point. The smaller element of the earring is 1” (c. 2.5 cm) wide.
The centrepiece for this beautiful necklace was bead embroidered around a small Swarovski Pacific blue opal Swarovski crystal and a green Swarovski Crystal chaton set in a gold-palted setting with fuchsia and pacific opal Swarovski crystals, gold Japanese seed beads and 24 k. gold-plated Czech druk beads.
The necklace was bead-woven with the Pacific blue opal Swarovski crystals, 24 k. gold-plated Czech druk beads and gold Japanese seed beads.
The centrepiece measures 2” (c. 5 cm) in width and 3 ¾” (c. 9.8 cm) in height. The necklace measures almost 21” (c. 53 cm) and fastens with a gold-plated magnetic clasp.
