The first occasion that I had photographed a full-sized Bollore Bluebus, number 0593 in the RATP Paris fleet, shown at Gare de Lyon.

The Bolloré Bluecar is a small four-seat, three-door electric car supplied by Bolloré, designed by Pininfarina and manufactured by Cecomp in Bairo, Italy under a join venture owned by Bolloré and Pininfarina called Vehicule Électriques Pininfarina Bolloré (VEPB). The car has a 30kWh lithium polymer (LMP) battery, coupled to a supercapacitor, that provides an electric range of 250 km (160 mi) in urban use, and a maximum speed of 130 km/h (81 mph).

Originally shown as the Pininfarina B0 concept car in 2008, the production version was launched in 2011 with the first 250 production version Bluecars deployed as part of the Autolib' carsharing program in Paris on December 5, 2011.

In October 2012 the Bluecar first became available to retail customers through leasing, and sales began in February 2013 at a price of €19,000 plus a monthly fee of €80for the batteries.

As of February 2013, a total of 2,050 units have been registered in the country, of which, 1,750 are allocated for the Autolib' service.

The Bolloré Bluecar was the top selling highway-capable electric car in France in 2012.

A cette occasion, le réseau LE MET' a mis en circulation plusieurs véhicules 100% électrique sur des navettes privées reliant le Centre des Congrès Robert Schuman/Centre Pompidou-Metz jusqu'au restaurant La Citadelle vers la Place de la République pour les ministres, mais aussi la presse. Les véhicules présents sont: Un Bolloré Bluebus 22 de démonstration, deux Lohr Cristal (Prototypes) attelés ensemble, un Mercedes-Benz eCitaro de démonstration, deux Irizar ie 18 Tram du réseau Ametis d'Amiens n°702 et n°714 destinés aux lignes Nemo et un Solaris Urbino 18 IV Electric du réseau ZTM (MZA) de Varsovie n°7100. Le Bolloré Bluebus 22 de démonstration a été testé sur la navette N83 CITY le vendredi 3 mai sur une courte durée en fin de matinée et en début d'après-midi. En effet, le réseau LE MET' a mis en circulation à compter du mois d'août 2019, deux véhicules neufs identiques sur cette ligne. Le Mercedes-Benz eCitaro présent ici avait été testé du 26 mars au 26 avril dans plusieurs villes en France avec Evobus lors du Roadshow Daimler Buses 2019. Du 7 au 10 mai inclus, l'eCitaro a été testé sur la ligne P106 du réseau LE MET'.

A Bolloré Bluetram has been brought into Singapore for trials in conjunction with Nanyang Technological University. Named the NTU-Blue Solutions Flash Shuttle, commuters will be able to shuttle from the second half of 2018.

The Bolloré Bluetram supercapacitor bus entered service on the NTU-Blue Solutions Flash Shuttle earlier last month in April 2018. Two charging stations were built along the route for the trial.
