... We were wrapping family presents but Miss A took a shine to this cuddly

soft Bee!

It was a good lesson in how Christmas is about giving to show people we

care, and not about what we want for ourselves! I think she understood it

and I think Santa was so impressed with her that he has reserved a similar

one for her stocking

From the Christmas set β™₯

I posted a shot for the boys yesterday, this one is for the girls

Here's to a wonderful day filled with circles of confusion, specular highlights and creamy smooth blur! Happy Wednesday, friends!

This image is brought to you by my Pentax-M 55mm @ f/2.

Sorry for posting another candle shot :) We are tucked up indoors as Miss A isn't well with a high temperature, I hope she's better tomorrow as it's the infants school party.

We'll catch up soon!

I have been meaning to do this set of cliche images for a while (thanks for the prompt Peter PeterChad :)

A clichΓ© may sometimes be used in a work of fiction for comedic effect. A spoken or written clichΓ© is often a vivid depiction of an abstract matter that works by means of analogy or exaggeration. The picture used is usually drawn from everyday experience so that the recipient most probably can relate to the depiction by tentatively querying their reaction to what is conveyed in the picture. ~ Wikipedia

Lets all smile, its Friday :D woohoo

I feel I am definatly getting better at bokeh lighting effects, just need to work on getting a stronger light ray

Not sure about this picture, I somehow wanted to depict the fact that we at times are our own worst enemy…we put out our own light. We’ve been given this gift of life and God wants us to live it to the fullest for His glory. And yeah, sometimes life is tough, we end up in a valley and we might feel like giving up, snuffing out whatever life is left and just sitting and let life go by. And go by it does, that’s what I’ve realized, that life goes by very quickly and I don’t want to miss out on one bit of it. Even though at times we are in the valleys of life our light can still shine, often times, it’s in those valleys that we are given the opportunity to let our light shine the brightest and in turn light the way for others who find themselves in similar situations.

Here’s a quote to ponder:

β€œFor a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin β€” real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.” -- Fr. Alfred D'Souza

A couple more things about me:

1. I love the quotes and writings of the men of old. I’m a lover of words and deep and meaningful writings.

2. Even though I love words I hated grammar as a kid, I could never get it, I still have a hard time with it. I’m not a very good speller either ;)

Christmas background of snowflakes and stars

I took a few like this .. looked everywhere for the pale pink ribbon and found it under the table when I had finished .. typical!

daily rains and extra humidty are bringing this summer to it's end.

This is the Giant Christmas Tree display at the UPLB campus. I did try to get an OOF shot of our Christmas tree at home, but it just didn't have enough lights to get that awesome feel. Clearly, a giant Christmas tree would do the trick.

We call Miss A Buglet or Looliebug because as a baby she used to chatter to the ladybugs in her nursery ~ because of that people often buy her ladybug related toys!

Photographed near Urheilupuisto Sport Center in Espoo, Finland on a rainy day using the Canon 1D X Mark II and 24-105mm f/4L IS II.

A lost glove hoisted onto a pole, pointed almost like a hand giving directions. Unintentionally (or intentionally?) pointing right toward the metro entrance. A small, funny urban gesture that brings a bit of personality to a wet evening commute.
