A cardinal red speciality tulip variety opened fully - to me, they look as they've 'gone past it' (I know the feeling.....) as they don't stay in closed-up mode for very long. But the colour and shape is certainly quite different.
The background bokeh is provided by the early flowering bluebells - regrettably the Spanish invaders, not the English variety.
caught him again, on my butterfly bush. we either have really fast butterflys on the duckpond, or really slow photographers :)
Borrowed this lens from my colleague and took it for a spin a few weeks ago..This 85mm lens sure is poisonous..
After switching to Canon (I feel so bad for leaving Nikon), I decided to get a Sigma 50 1.4.
Nothing special here, just wanted to test the bokeh and focusing.
I had to take this picture trough a pane of glass.

I wanted to make some backgrounds of my own to use practicing with my green screen. These images are what I was able to come up with on my nature walk today.

I will try new pictures with better lighting for the mug, and some shapes for the lights.
Ok, so no, this isn't a cherry tree but it is the plum tree right outside my back door and we are mid way through the glorious week (or so) it's in bloom. It's spectacular waking up to this view.
