Part of the Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial, Curiosity Cloud is composed of 100's of light bulbs suspended from the ceiling, each bulb contains a manufactured insect that senses when you approach. The insect spin and the bulbs light up. So it was easy to get one to "pose" for the camera.

I seldom shoot macro but I have a cheap set of Meike extension tubes and adapted an old Minolta MC 50mm f/1.7 lens.
EN - I really love the bokeh of this old Helios lens. Messy but delicious.
By the way, Chiara is quite a good photographer herself, so check out her photostream on Flickr!

Happy Bench Monday!
On my once-a-week-I-can-take-pictures outing last week, I found lots of lovely benches.
Practise makes perfect. Thought I'd share this macro of my rings wth you for a pop of color. I noticed my photo stream really is dipped in the winter hues now.
I never told our wedding photographer I would like to have a good picture of our rings. Lucky me I can take them myself now :D
My website www.fardodopstra.com is all new and speedy by the way :)
