A challenge from the Emerge round from www.unleashed.education/. Finally we had a couple of days which were not so rainy, so I could take the camera with me on our walk.
This was shot with my 50 mm f/1.7 which produces lovely bokeh bubbles if you shoot it with a very wide aperture. I love the way the colours in the background match with Iggy's fur.
Again I tried to convert it to b&w, but again I liked it in colour better.
This is for the new month is coming ! Here's to a great May for all !!!
I won't be around tomorrow so I'll post this from tonight !
1st of May is a celebration here ... !
I did want to be fierce and fabulous for FGR today but I've been feeling nauseous all day so have given it a miss. Instead, here are my new toys.
I got a 50mm AF lens yesterday to go with my new camera which arrived on Thursday. I haven't got either of them out of the box yet though! I'm convinced that the moment I get the camera out of the box they'll announce a cashback offer. I'm looking forward to playing with them this week though. I feel a bit disloyal to my old Series E 50mm but I need the AF to stand a chance of catching E in focus and it will be interesting to see how the bokeh compares.
I GOT MY NEW CAMERA! :D
It's a Canon EOS Rebel XSi, and so far I'm loving it.
I just got it yesterday, and this morning I found out theres no school!
WHOO!
HBW!
This photo tells many stories.
* It’s day 3 of discovering the Fuji 90mm f2 lens I bought used at San Jose Camera and Video.
* I just came home from work, and none of the three persons in my household would agree to step into the driveway for a photo––not even the cat.
* Yours truly is not shy, so I volunteered.
* I know we make too big of a deal out of bokeh and out-of-focus backgrounds, but the 90mm f2 is pretty strong in this area.
* I am old, and will be retiring next May if current stresses do not kill me first.
* This tie will only get a handful of appearances between now and then, so enjoy it while you can.
* Through repetition, I am fairly successful at putting the camera and lens on a tripod and jumping into the frame––even without a selfie screen.
* All of this bores my family to death.
* The semi-ancient Fuji X-T1 and its 16mp sensor still seem pretty relevant.
Bye.
