Through My Eyes is a collection of images that depict how I see the world without visual corrective glasses. Created on one of my frequent trips to London for medical reasons, I realised that London to a stranger can appear to be very hectic, with the city rushing by as not only a physical blur but also to anyone visually impaired, visually blurred. I was particularly inspired by my Dad who suffers from impaired vision after eye surgery.

I wasn't expecting my daguerreotype achromat to arrive as soon as it has (it was supposed to arrive in November, so I was super surprised) but I'm already addicted >.< the soft focus imagery is just to die for...

National Portrait Gallery, London

Here we can notice the poor bokeh, it's possible to count the number of blades. We have to remind ourselves that we talking about a cheap lens. Certainly, the bokeh of 85 f/1.4 is more pleasant.

Even though 85mm f/1.4 is great lens, I have been wondering about the 135 DC. That's a magic portrait lens and I love the creamy bokeh it produces.

Setup: 1 SB-800 with full CTO (1/32 power) shoot thru difuser umbrella in front her face and 1 SB-800 (1/16) high behind. The D700 was set to 2500 K.

Not feeling as creative this week, I've had a terrible dose of flu and it's knocked me down for the count most of the week (got to love my non-existent immune system...), however I thought I ought to try something new with one of my petzval lenses again, they've hardly been off my camera body since I've had them (and got to admit I love manual focus lenses- so much fun).
