Shot was taken at a small park near West 4th St in Greenwich Village,Manhattan. There's a corner brownstone building across the street from the park in the background.

This was the result of some messing about while the sun rose over my garden one morning last month. I loved the bokeh/flare, light, golden tones, curves of the grass, and water droplets, so wanted to do something with the image, but felt the top left corner was too bright... I tried adding a bit of texture and a subtle frame (both in Analog Efex Pro), and dulling down the top left a bit, but I'm still not happy.. I'm not sure what else I can do, and I've stared at this long enough, so here it is :D

I wish you all a placid and peaceful second advent. For me, definitely the best season of the year.

i would like to start

with this one small moment

to say goodbye to 2008

i can't begin to say in words

the wonders of the friendships

this year has brought into my life

the many Thursdays

my cup has runneth over

the immeasurable joy

of seeing someone take pride

in being the first to comment

as if it was a real badge of honor

the endless inspirations i got

from so many diverse faces of beauty

i gaze back and forward

and i look into this small moment

to say goodbye to 2008

and to say THANK YOU

for the magnificent friends

you all have become

i am hopeful that 2009

will be as blessed for all of us

and maybe more

HAPPY NEW YEAR, my friends!

Again one of my small friends. This pic was taken after sunset and it was already very dark between the trees.
