Today was one of those days when you spend hours setting up and capturing various scenes, only to be disappointed with the results and then you come home, something catches you eye and within minutes you're a happy photography obsessive once more. It can be frustrating but as soon as you see that image appear on your camera screen and you know you have 'the shot', it all becomes worth it! I've also noticed recently that I've become a Bokeh addict and I know I'm not alone. HBW!
This image is in homage to 'Her Majesty The Queen' to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. This is one of my favorite flowers, and its name 'London Pride' perfectly suits the atmosphere surrounding the celebrations!

hello, my name is nikki and im a bokeh addict.
it rain/snowed last night, and now all the slush is melting, and it glistens off the trees in the sun and changes colors, its so beautiful.
I know it's another nature crap shot and bokeh but I'm posting this one mainly because of the colour. That is pretty much why I like this one. And it cannot be denied I guess, I'm a bokeh addict =).

Sorry for the late post but I had to wait on Rusty my trusty horse. I’ve been noticing a lot of crap comments lately about Explore Catcher and now even the HBW group. I love both of those groups! But, whoa, big fella tread lightly on the HBW group, that is a sacred group for all bokeh addicts.
I felt it was time to give those folks a place where their comments can actually benefit the cause. So have at it folks, lets see some real crappy comments and get it out of your system once and for all!
I would like to thank Rusty, it was nice of him to provide the subject matter!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
I've been tagged so here we go, 10 thinks about me:
1. I eat, sleep, breath photography, It's a passion, something I need to keep me sane.
2. I became a bokeh-addict here on flickr.
3. Flickr changed my way of photographing a lot!
4. In a very good way!
5. My most favorite lens is my Canon 50mm f1.4
6. I changed my hair in october 2010 after having the same hair for 10 years.
And I LOVE my new hair!
7. I forgot to get flowers for my wife today (Valentine) so I think I need to make up for that with chocolate ;)
8 I shot a Long Exposure shot for today, then thought about Valentine's day and made this one with the diy heart shaped bokeh!
9. Tomorrow a photo without Babo :) Promised!

My first post using a new technique. I'm attempting to master bokeh panos for an extreme depth of field effect. This is a handheld pano using an 85mm f/1.4 lens. A total of 27 images make up this photo.

I love the way the snow glitters and shimmers on a sunny blue sky day. As a kid I'd squint my eyes so that the reflections became beautiful out of focus rainbows.
I guess I was a bokeh addict then without knowing it :)

I'm grateful for bokeh. Or this could go another way. Hello! I'm Holly and I'm a bokeh addict. Or maybe insert "Flickr" instead of "Bokeh" and you would hit a little closer to the mark. There is just something so satisfying about the way bokeh can transform a shot for me into something beautiful. Something extraordinary. Something that will always generate a second glance. Photographing it has transformed the way I view nature in a monumental way. But also, the quest for bokeh takes me in and out of shooting styles that I would never try. It makes me grow as a photographer. So I hope you enjoy my efforts, and I hope it inspires you as much as it does me. Happy Bokeh Wednesday everyone! I'm very grateful for you too!
