My Father, My Hero
Fathers juggle through numerous roles in a child’s life. They are a friend, a playmate, a guide and a shoulder to lean on. Bodakdev School recognises the efforts every father puts in molding their child’s life. To celebrate the special bond, every child has a special daddy’s day out was organised today morning in the campus for the Playgroup Section. Exclusive invites were sent out in advance to ensure that fathers could take out time from their busy schedules. Daddies of BSFC put all their meetings and phone-calls on hold and arrived at the school with their tiny tots for the special day. Fathers took part enthusiastically in all the special activities that were lined up for them. Some dressed like their children, while others carried snacks made by them for their tiny darlings. The campus resonated with cheers, laughter and squeals of delight as the fathers took part in games with their small angels. After the game sessions, it was time for palm printing which was enjoyed by everyone. In the end, fathers prepared a special bhel and served their little ones and ensured that they are properly fed. The day ended with hugs with the little ones and a token of appreciation by all the fathers for the efforts put in by the teachers and the school management to make the day memorable for them.

Glimpses of Basant Panchmi
Saraswati, the Goddess of wisdom,learning, music and art, was worshipped by students of Bodakdev School on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami. Bodakdev School held a special screening of the play Mowgli Baloo Tanak Tum Tum for the new students as well as existing parents and students. The Gujarati play was written and directed by Kabir Thakore and was a hit among the toddlers as well as the parents. The auditorium was packed to its capacity. The play had highlighted the differences between forest life/rural life and city life. It was entertaining and had a strong message for the toddlers to value the environment. The play ended with thunderous applause. Enthusiastic toddlers lined up to hug Mowgli and Baloo their favourite characters of the play.

Every Year Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with pomp and fanfare at BSFC campus. This year it is slightly different. Our students are at home and keeping in mind the enthusiasm, the love for the elephant God Ganesha it was celebrated virtually. Students were taught how to make eco-friendly idols with clay and flour at home. They made those beautiful idols, decorated them and shared their Ganeshas with their teachers. Today all our students would have prayed to their beloved Ganesha to make life normal for all of us. We wish all of you a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi!
