Imagine this is your home, and imagine one day it collapses on you. I feel for my birth country! I know what they are going through. I experienced/lived the 1999 Istanbul one alone. It was a never ending 30 seconds and I seriously thought I was not going to make it out my home alive. I saw families disappeared, buildings ruined, lives lost. I wouldn’t wish such a trauma for even the worst person on earth. May all who lost their lives rest in peace! May all who survived start living again soon, with all their wounds healed. May they find peace and happiness again.
