Dahlia 'Bluetiful' 10/2021 dahlia- (Swan Island 2010) Purple dahlia, Mature size: 3.5’, BB-ID-PR Class(3109), USDA Hardiness Zone 8, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW31, In Garden Bed V2,06,3 for 144 DAYS (swan21). Planted in 2021.
Swan Island: Bluetiful 6” Blue lavender, some would say periwinkle; blooms are ruffled and fancy-free. This is a very compact and study plant of 3 ½’. Great cut flower and a real eye catcher! As close to blue as you can get with a dahlia. This is a dahlia that all of us here at Swan Island Dahlias grow in our yards - A " Gitts" family favorite!

This is a guy that knocks your socks off, he is so beautiful. He spent most of his time gazing into what sunset we had. He’ll be cruising into his 11th birthday in May.

Crystal's challenge for the W&W 4th Birthday Bash is about repetitive stamping. I pulled out A Tree for All Seasons and used what is actually a circle of leafs to create this background. I was inspired by a card Heather P made back when the set was released. She stamped the circle pattern on colored card and embossed in white. I decided i wanted to use some of my colored embossing powders, so I stamped it in Versamark ink, and then used 3 different embossing powders (bluetiful by wow is quite possibly my new favorite, also used bubble gum and silver). I finished it off with a sentiment from the same stamp set on a banner.
Taheerah's challenge for the birthday bash was to use a DT card for inspiration, so I'm also entering that one.
The SSS Wednesday challenge is make your own background, so I'm also entering there.
