Shapes and colors, captured in a marvelous garden in Ballater, Scotland.

It might have been a tranquil sunset to enjoy, but mosquitoes began to swarm us from the marsh. . .so we did not linger to enjoy the fading rays of gold. . .

I was lucky to come across a number of birds just resting on electrical wires... This one is just one of few shots I was able to take...

Keep an eye out for the rest! :)

Thank you visits, invites, awards and kind comments,i really appreciate it!!

Here is a capture taken in Bar Harbor Maine earlier in the blue hour where I was able to try opening the aperture wide on the 24mm, go to ISO 250 and keep the exposure to around 8 seconds. With the slight chop in the water, this is about the total time to keep the shutter open and not have the boats docked there from moving.

Also, the White Balance here is around 5000K ... allowing for a nice balance I think between the blue hour sky and the warmer light from the town area lighting up the pier and boats.

Banff Moraine Lake 2013 August

I really like the blue tones on the snow, reflections from the lovely sky. This day was very cold and you can see there is some mist coming off of the river. The trees along the farther shore are especially frosty because of that drifting mist.

Hydrangea Bloom. Thanks for the visit and have a great weekend.

View in the late evening from the backside of the island.

Cool tones ruled the view this time of morning on the pretty river in Maryland.

Wish you all a fabulous Thursday!

Every time someone tells me how sharp my photos are, I assume that it isn't a very interesting photograph. If it were, they would have more to say.

Delicate butterfly on wild flower

This term is ocupied much to negativ in my opinion. Sure, even in this photo, when I was waiting for the sunrise, everything seems to be a bit gloomy and the bright colours are all missing. Blue notes are influenzing everthing and giving the scenery a special mood. But blues doesn't have to be bad per se and more of this it doesn't have to be something, we need to be fear for. Its telling us to hold and to give more attention more to ourselves. That way it will be much easier to see the streak of light at the horizon what is assuring us, sun will rise again today as well.
