This collage was made entirely from magazine strips with a technique I call "painting with paper." I cut the paper into different shapes and layer them in such a way that they look almost like the brushstrokes in a painting.

As the sunsets on this HOT July 11,2016 day ,we see Muddy Spring Police Department Chief Amy Melendez watching for speeders on I 25 Frontage rd ,under a billboard . The billboard was put up back in 2012 to show support for Blue-dog down in Elephant Butte NM ,He passed way in late June of this year ( 2016 ) so little village of Muddy Spring dedicated the sign for memory of Blue and this fall the sign will be restored.

I was up visiting Marc Newman (Kool bee) at his wonderful property at Ballandean on the Granite Belt and went for a walk with his blue cattle dog called - "Blue Dog" - what else!
Here he is during and after a cooling swim in the creek.

About 3 weeks ago I did a Story Bridge Tutored Photography Climb organised by Bluedog Photography, led by Anita Bromley from Bluedog and Simon from the Story Bridge Adventure Climb company. It was great fun and I recommend everyone give it a go. Normally you can't take your own camera except if you go on an organised photography climb like this one. The climb was from 5pm (late afternoon) to 7pm (early evening). We were unlucky not to have a good sunset. It was certainly challenging finding compositions and shooting without a tripod or other support in very low light. I used a Canon EOS 60D camera and EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens, some shots at ISO 6400 and 1/10 sec, all hand held. The IS was essential. I couldn't have taken many of these shots with my old camera. More of my photos are on my Facebook page.

The City of North Charleston held its Fourth of July Festival at Riverfront Park on Thursday, July 4, 2013, an all-day event featuring live music, family-friendly activities, and local food vendors.
North Charleston’s Fourth of July Festival featured the largest show of fireworks in the Lowcountry and one of the largest in the State of South Carolina.
