Chevrolet introduced the Corvair lineup for the 1960 model year as the first of a series of generations of passenger compact cars. The Corvair derived Greenbrier and Corvan were introduced in 1961 as an answer to the Volkswagen Transporter. The Corvair air-cooled horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine of 2.4 and 2.6 litres was located in the rear of the vehicle under a slightly raised cargo floor. It was similar in principle to the 4-cylinder engine of the Volkswagen, but unusual for most contemporary cars. The 145 cu in (2,375 cc) engine developed 80 hp while the 2683cc version introduced from 1964 produced 95bhp.Unlike the Corvair cars, the Corvair Greenbrier had a 95 in (2,400 mm) wheelbase and were thus known as "95s." They came standard with a three-speed manual transmission but could be ordered with a two-speed Corvair Powerglide automatic transmission aventually a four speed manual became available.

There were essentially two different bodies available in the 95 series: the van and the truck. The base version was the panel van (Corvan) with no side or rear windows. The Greenbrier normally had windows all around and six doors, although an option was to have eight doors

Syboo works in the box warehouse across the street from our studio. While I have only met most of the individuals who work there is passing, I know that they are just about the friendliest group of guys I've ever (not) met. There is always a wave, a handshake, a "How ya doin'" from across the street. So when I saw Syboo, Beats perfectly placed, sitting on the hydrant, I knew I had to ask for a picture. He was glad to do it.

On November 18th, there were elections for municipalities and regions in Denmark. The practical part of the election process itself is a municipal task. Even though I had other tasks, I also went around the polling stations and took some pictures.

"Fell in Love with a Robot"

This is part of the series where my friends are throwing out titles to which I then create some kind of related image. I coerced Jeff into shooting with me and the resulting image is one of my favorites in a long time. Part "Desperate Housewives," part romance novel cover. Since I wussed out so badly on showing you guys the swimwear outtakes, I will put up a pretty goofy outtake for this one in a bit :)

(Much thanks goes to Cornelsi for supplying this week's title!)

And check this out: a friend of mine on Facebook said this reminded them of something they'd seen a long time ago. Freeze this right around 20 seconds and you've pretty much got our pose. Wow. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EmWRNp_6l8&feature=related

37/ 52 weeks for Dogs. I like this photo of Jake, althouth it's reminescent of an earlier photo of him in a convertible (posted in the comment below). But I think it's different enough from the other photo. I like the angle and flow of his head and ears, and the echo of these lines in the lines of the boat. I was hoping to get a non-boating photo, since I've posted so many recently from the boat, but it's the best I have this week. I'm getting ready to leave for NC for a week, at the end of the week, so have less Flicker time and more packing and prepartion time in my schedule.

As always I welcome all critical feedback I'm trying to learn more about photography and improve my skills, and so many of you have taught me so much. I'm not sure I like this title, Wheeee, that much-- we'll see. Open to ideas again.

Jake is my one year old standard poodle. He's very active, but he loves this kind of motion.

44/52 Weeks for Dogs. My Jake, one-year-old standard poodle, still very much the mouthy puppy, but full of love. Another photo from the week below. I have to pick one for my 52 weeks for dogs group-- input welcome. I wish I hadn't cut off his ear here, but I loved how he sort of fades into the clouds, in part because of backlighting from the sun. Also, some other processed photos below, but I think here that I am going for the less processed look.

Other photos I took, better centerd, just did not have the expression I wanted. Amazing how I can take 30 shots, and have only one look sort of right.

Billed as bigger, stronger and sleeker the Advance Design was launched in 1947 and sold with various changes to 1955 when replaced by the Task Force Series. From 1947 until 1955, Chevrolet trucks were number one in sales in the United States, with rebranded versions sold at GMC locations.

By 1949 in the petrol filler had been moved and was now mounted upright behind seat in cab; filler neck aft of passenger door handle and in late 1949 the emblems no longer read Thriftmaster and Loadmaster, instead numbers that designate cargo capacity: 3100 on 1⁄2 ton, 3600 on 3⁄4 ton, 3800 on 1 ton. Big news for 1950 was the introduction of telescopic shock absorbers as a replacement for the lever arm type
