365: the 2022 Edition 235/365
What are you willing to do to get that one perfect shot? This one entailed stopping on a lift bridge on the highway and hanging out the window. Now I am not saying that was the smartest move, but in my defense, there was no traffic and I was only stopped for a second, hehe.
Today, the third Monday in January, is known as 'Blue Monday' which is supposedly the most depressing day of the year.
So before the wheels come off, here's a blue photo for the day thats in it.

the sign says works. he does not. for a few minutes the city continues without him, the traffic, the noise, the endless construction. he leans against a pole and disappears into his phone. everyone does this. millions of times a day. we stand in one place and leave for another. the body remains. the mind travels. when he looks up again, nothing will have changed. except maybe everything.

Alviso, a small town in the San Francisco Bay Area, is always fun to visit. It's only 20 min from home and workplace, so I like to go there once in a while for sunset. I took this shot shortly after sunset, a big floodlight was illuminating the scene. A worker in a hardhat was still there, attending the machinery. I chatted with him for a while. They travel all around the country to overhaul railway tracks. He loves his job and is going to retire in a few years.
I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the curves and color balance. I welcome and appreciate your critical feedback.
