But, universally, I've been advised that without a SS#, they can't send you to collections and 'legally', despite the fine print and phone calls, there is nothing they can do to hold you accountable for future payments. You may Think you can cancel, how-ever I bet you are in for a shock ... Chances are they will have your 'Continuing Debit Authority' on your Credit or Debit Card - this is NOT tghe same as a 'Direct Debit' on your Bank Account = unlike a DD, a CDA can NOT be stopped by you or your Bank .. The ONLY people who can 'stop' a CDA are the kinds who got you to sign it .. I.e. The gym ...
Gym's know that a Significant fraction of those they sign up for a year will only actually visit during the first few weeks ... And then start to wonder what they are paying for....
