Red Rock Canyon, Nevada
Red Rock Canyon is a short drive outside of Las Vegas. Part of this used to be a quarry, but it was not profitable and left behind some hefty cut blocks. The third one looks to me like it’s a face.
UP YPR60B backs its train over Wrightwood in Belmont-Cragin approaching the bakery where it will spot cars.

This is the first block I received in a round robin. I hope Jane likes what I did and yes I did the tatting.

With freight car blocks to be switched out and picked up, CSX southbound freight train M653 steadily boils through the somewhat sparse Kingsport, TN, yard on the afternoon of December 23, 2025.

This came out of one of my large Planter from this past summer - Winter arrived early and it had filled up with water and froze - Thankfully it melted enough to get it out and the result was this huge chunk!
Glass blocks in the courtyard of Snell Arcade, St. Petersburg, Fla.
It's on the National Register of Historic Places.
I'm digging how this is coming together, especially since I didn't have a vision for this quilt when I started, which can sometimes be disastrous, no? :)

June in Yala, my first safari. I came armed with a Canon 1DX MkII, a 70–200 with a 2x adapter, and even a Film Minolta CLE. But the photograph that stays with me wasn’t mine.
This was taken by my friend, with Nikon P900 I handed him because it’s simple to use. And yet, in that split second as the stag turned and locked eyes with us, he framed it perfectly. From my seat two rows back, my view was blocked. Even with all my gear, I couldn’t have made this shot.
Sometimes the best photograph of the day belongs to someone else. And sometimes it proves what matters most isn’t the camera, it’s the person holding it.

This fella's a wee bit out of shape!
The wall was in even worse shape, crumbly, mossy and sooked up the paint like a sponge.
Think i should have either went a bit smaller and tried something a bit wilder, or gone a bit bigger and tried something simpler.
Ach weel, who knows!
Not too often does the CP stop one of there trains and allow a CN train thru first. Don't know why this played out like it did but it is what it is. A southbound CN train glides across the double diamonds at Duplainville while a westbound oil empty is already on the throttle as he tells dispatch he is blocking Barker Road.
