The Wallace Block is on S. Ann Arbor. Not sure, but I think this picture is from the 1950's

Does anyone remember Walter Moore or Ken Rogers

On my first trip to Lier Mental Hospital earlier in June we broke into the abandoned A-Block. It was a powerful and exciting experience walking around in the old and worn-down building at night time.

After some more research (thanks to Maríon for useful information) we figured out that there were two more buildings that are abounded and waiting to be explored.

Late in June at five o'clock in the morning we arrived in front of Block-B. At first sight the building looks similar to the A-Block, but inside it's a bit different with a bigger basement, and it's altso here the isolation block is located.

Thanks to Ansgar Valbø for joining me on the trip and giving med great advice during the shoot/processing and to tbanken for letting me use his Canon 5D Mark II and the lenses

EF 50mm f1,2 and EF 16-35mm f/2,8.

Exif data: 1/160 - f/1,2 - ISO 3200 - 50mm

Block for the love circle of the do. good stitches bee. I really like the blocks with overlapping circles that other folks made, but was more drawn to a design where they were all separate for mine.

PMQG will be having a presence this year at the Sisters' annual Outdoor Quilt Show, and put out a call for 6" blocks from the members. I won't have a quilt in the show, but hopefully I can contribute in a little way.

I worked all the ones you sent in there and even tossed in one from the pile. :) Thanks so much for coordinating this bee, Deb. I had lots of fun making everyone's blocks. :)

Pictures made with block prints using potato, stencil, wood block and polystyrene block.

Hand Block Printing, a specialty of Jaipur uses wooden blocks to print different designs on various clothing items and fabrics using natural colors.

ladmquilter's colours for this quarter of the 3x6 bee were blue, gray and green. She asked for a gray background (I used Kona medium gray.) The feeling of the block really changes a lot when white isn't used for background.

I made this block using the tutorial here at the blog Needles and Spatula. It was very easy (no pinning required and lots of room for error.) The hardest part was deciding how to arrange the squares. I thought that this arrangment would work well with the wonkiness of the circles and was different from the usual. I loved the result so much that I now have a plan to make an entire quilt of blocks like these using cool-toned shot cottons.

I used six blocks and some vintage book illustrations, decoupaging all sides to get six puzzles total.
