Lovely patchwork block from Clover and Violet. Free tutorial on Clover and Violet's website for a 12" Quatrefoil block. I made a 6" version. The pattern is so, so quick and turns out lovely every time.

Thought you guys would like to see the color theory strips that I've received so far together. I love how they look and how they are all uniquely different. Couple with diagonals, few with strips, some blocks, etc. So fun! Missing are only light pink and brown, and the black strip I'm working on (and have made NO progress!). I hope to get black completed before the end of the month. Thanks again for doing these strips!!! I'll keep you posted as I put them together into the quilt top.

this is a little darker than it should be, its more deep purple, and when i took this picture i realized i had made a mistake down in the first pattern repeat so had to very carefully clip it out res-stitch it. now i'm really glad i made a swatch and had a bit of extra yarn in the right color!

Here are my blocks for my awesome hive 10 ladies. I used the mosaic block from the Summer Sampler Series run by Faith (Fresh Lemon Quilts) and friends this summer. Love the blocks, and love all the different colors! They're winging their way to the four corners as I type!

HMAS Diamantina - named after the Diamantina River in Queensland, is a River-class frigate that served the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Constructed in the mid-1940s, Diamantina was active from 1945 until 1946, was placed in reserve, then was recommissioned as a survey ship from 1959 until 1980.
Following her second decommissioning, the frigate was preserved at the Queensland Maritime Museum as a museum ship. She was the last World War II-era frigate to leave RAN service, and of the 151 River-class frigates constructed for 19 navies worldwide, Diamantina is the only one preserved as a museum ship.

I did 2 seperate blocks 1 in faded jeans and the other in peeled paint.
and cut the green out in hill shapes.
Stamped cg199 and colored the flowers with watercolor distressing, a white gel pen and a yellow pencil
cl139 is the sentiment.
