The Goodyear blimp, having recently landed, in the process of being taken inside the hangar at the blimp base in Suffield Township, Ohio

I saw it AGAIN coming home from work. Here, it is being attacked by a tiny little airplane.

These World War II blimps, over 250 feet long and 60 feed wide, were used for anti-submarine duty. Hanger "B", which contains seven acres of space and is listed in the Guiness Book of World Records as the largest clear span wooden building in the world, now houses Tillamook Air Museum.

Well, almost a zep. A "Semi-rigid" airship (on the left), Wingfoot One has a partial frame, to support the rear engine. Spirit of Innovation, at right, is a true blimp with nothing but an envelope full of helium. And it has the lights message board on the side.

A blimp flying over Pleasanton from the Livermore Airport. I think this is the same Blimp that is now badged as the Hanger One Vodka Blimp.

It was cruising the bay area all afternoon!

The real draw to the Marine base are these old blimp hangars. The largest cement doors in the country and attached to these things.
