If the media doesn't tell you how bad the situation is for those trapped on the front line, it doesn't mean it's all good here. The man on the photo didn't eat anything for two days until we brought him some food today. His name is Ilya. Abandoned by everyone, this one-legged old man with diabetes lives on his own in the village of Sokol. Just occasionally his deaf-mute neighbor comes to visit him. But her own family doesn't want her to do it, Ilya says. He doesn't blame them, saying that everyone is just trying to survive here.

Cyanistes caeruleus - Cyanistes kommer från det grekiska ordet "kuanus", och betyder mörkblå medan artnamnet betyder himmelsblå.

Typiska kännetecken:

12 cm. Huvudet är ljusblått och ansiktet till största delen vitt omgärdat av svarta band och streck. Vingarna och stjärten är mörkblå och undersidan gul, ibland med en antydan till mörk mittstrimma. Ryggen är mörkt grön. Båda könen mycket lika, men hanen har dock genomgående mörkare och klarare blå färg. Ungfåglarna har under sommaren gula kinder och ej så klara färger.
