European starlings are pretty nice looking birds. Pigeons are too. There are just so darn many of them...
From Wikipedia:
"Eugene Schieffelin (January 29, 1827 – August 15, 1906) was an American amateur ornithologist who belonged to the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society and the New York Zoological Society. He was responsible for introducing the European starling (Sturnus vulgaris) to North America."
"In 1890, he released 60 starlings into New York City’s Central Park."
NEVER BLAME ANYONE IN LIFE, THE GOOD PEOPLE GIVE YOU HAPPINESS, THE WORST PEOPLE GIVE YOU A LESSON AND THE BEST PEOPLE GIVE YOU MEMORIES.

Around the Grid for the fashion details.
Update: Sadly, the gown now looks to be vintage due to withdrawal from stock at Valentina E.; don't go shopping for it.

Our dog, a Border Collie, didn't want to go out in this weather. Could you blame him?
I was determined to make a beautiful shot that day.
I even risked my precious camera...
The result was well worth it, I love the windswept movement of the sleet.
We have the same weather today, 2018.
I wish you the best of days and thank you for your time.
