The development of the Darjeeling town dates back to the mid-19th century, when the colonial British administration in India set up a sanatorium and a military depot. Subsequently, extensive tea plantations were established in the region, and tea growers developed hybrids of black tea and created new fermentation techniques. The resultant distinctive Darjeeling tea is internationally recognized and ranks among the most popular of the black teas in the world.
Munnar is a town and hill station located in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Munnar is situated at around 1,600 metres above sea level, in the Western Ghats range of mountains.
A very special friend sent me this tea set and black tea for my birthday and it's been an essential for cold autumn days ever since.
Spring is coming and I am excited for it, but I just always have a special place in my heart for autumn reminders. 🍁 This card set is new in my shop as well, you can find it here. :)

Today's project, a vintage teacup and saucer purchased from an antique store in Ames, Iowa. Developed using Darktable 3.6.0. Additional texture was added in Photoshop.

this was a boat trip to Anadolu Kavagi, a small spot on the Asian side north of Istanbul, quite near to the Black Sea.
It was a public ferry. Tea and some snacks are sold for very decent prices. A glass of tea is 0,5 new Turkish lira. The sesame rings ( = simit) we bought before was 0,4 lira each. If we had waited a bit we could have had oven warm sesame rings on the ferry, too.
Cornflowers floating in assam tea. To get the 3" depth of field required for both the floating flowers and the tea at the bottom the image was shot at f/64. An exposure time of 15 seconds was needed because only ambient room light was used to for illumination.

বর্ষার মৌসুমের শুরু থেকে শীত মৌসুমের আগ পর্যন্ত চাবাগানগুলোয় চলে চা-পাতা তোলা। সকাল থেকে বিকেল পর্যন্ত পালা করে চা-পাতা তোলার কাজে ব্যস্ত থাকেন নারী-পুরুষ চা-শ্রমিকেরা। পাতা তোলা শেষে তা লাইন ধরে জমা দেন শ্রমিকেরা। ওজন শেষে চা-পাতা স্তূপ করে রাখা হয় চা তৈরির জন্য।
