Normally, the common yellow swallowtails (Papilio machaon) at my moher-in-law's place outside Härnösand, Sweden, lay their eggs on the large purple angelicas - and also they lay them before our summer vacation begins so I haven't been around to see them. just the caterpillars.
Well, this year, everything was a bit late due to a very cold spring so I had the good fortune of seeing one (this one: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/54664995743/ and www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/54658270242/) laying her eggs (even got a couple of shots of the tiny eggs). This time she chose the other suitable plant in the garden - the dill. Out of the eggs she laid (pretty scattered) only two caterpillars made it through the summer and this one from August is in what I believe to be the fifth and final instar stage so when it feels it has eaten and grown enough, it will find a good spot to pupate over winter and hopefully come fluttering over the garden next summer.

She was standing on the kerb and playing with her phone (blackberry?) for several minutes. I took 5 pictures of her from different angles and she didn't notice me at all.
The Canon MP-E65mm is not your typical portrait lens, but I think it works pretty nicely for this larvae of the common yellow swallowtail (Papilio machaon).

Não sei se comentei aqui, mas faz um mês mais ou menos que comecei um curso de capacitação profissional em fotografia. Eu estou adorando, mas por outro lado, vejo o quanto nada de nada sei sobre o assunto.
Passei a me cobrar muito mais, o que é bom, mas também é sempre frustrante, pois é treinando (e errando) que vou chegar a algum lugar. Sou muito ansiosa com as coisas, e fico meio decepcionada por não estar (eu e minhas fotos), onde eu quero.
Enfim, essa semana eu também resolvi que queria pintar a unha de preto, depois de uns 10 anos. :P

Meu Vega desbotou legal, e eu percebi nem tanto pelos glitters, mas pela base, que estava bem rosada, impossível de usar com alguma outra cor de base sem alterá-la.
Mas não queria desapegar sem usar, então a melhor opção foi usar com preto de base, e não é que eu gostei bastante? Achei bem bonito, porque ele vem bem carregadinho.
