Ein architektonisches Highlight in Graz ist eine der bedeutendsten Zwillingswendeltreppen Europas.
Sie wurde in den Jahren 1499/1500 von einem unbekannten Baumeister und von Steinmetzen errichtet. Die Doppelwendeltreppe besteht aus zwei gegenläufigen Treppen, die in jedem Stockwerk zusammenkommen und sich wieder trennen.
An architectural highlight in Graz is one of the most important twin spiral staircases in Europe.
It was built in 1499/1500 by an unknown master builder and stonemasons. The double spiral staircase consists of two opposing staircases that come together and separate again on each floor.
Laureà Dalmau, nascut a Agullana l'any 1886, va estudiar medicina a Barcelona. Va deixar una obra poètica plena de tendresa i crítica social. Va cofundar el setmanari Catalanitat i va militar al Centre Nacionalista Republicà. L'any 1932 va ser escollit diputat per Girona al Parlament de Catalunya, per ERC. Va ser director de l'hospital de Santa Caterina, on exercia com a cirurgià. En acabar la guerra va marxar a l'exili, del qual va tornar l'any 1949, a Girona, on morí l'any 1969.
