Skull of a carnivorous Marsupial Mouse I found that had been run over on the back road. The ears helped me identify it at the time.
"Small native carnivorous marsupial, greyish-brown above and paler below. Long pointed head with bulging eyes and four pairs of small sharp incisor teeth. Ears are large, thin and crinkly with a notch in the margin. Tail is the same length as the body or shorter and is sparsely haired. It weighs up 71 grams."

A tongue bitten and held tight rested within the maw of the fox. Her jaw a thing so tight it looked as though it was likely to shatter with the force of its bite. Gwynne leaned against the railing once more, though now she looked nearer a thing to some gargoyle- poised in a defensive stance over those below. The ease in that lean gone. The little half smile- vanished. It looked as though the fox’s attempts at keeping a tongue stilled from wagging would be successful. Though a pulse thrummed hard against her throat with the talk of dragons, of all things, so near. The woman’s breath quickened with the continued force of her restraint.

It's been a while since we've had a solar eclipse in Ireland and while it was only a partial eclipse, it was worth pulling out the camera and a Lee Filters 'Little Stopper' to capture it.
Nice little graphic of how it progressed here.
Take a bit out of me. The tower of Salisbury cathedral in the fangs of its own cloisters. Wasn't worth a second look until the notion of a square crop came to mind. Like the bold unorthodox framing as counterpoint to the intense decoration of the tower.
Yellow Bitten (Ixobrychus sinensis) is an uncommon breeding resident of Sri Lanka augmented by winter visitors.They can be seen in swamps and marshes in lowland but during the migrating season spread over the Island. Belongs to Ardeidae family.

While waiting for the male hawker to zip past me for the millionth time without me getting my camera on him (never mind even an out-of-focus shot!), I spotted these midges dancing in a stream of sunlight. Using a shallow dof, from across the pond, I was able to bokehfy them :D
