A real bitsa here, and not a 1600 GL like Cartell suggests, as the DVLA has it listed with a 3 litre engine. It appears to have been given an American Capri front end, which actually works quite well on the second generation shape, but whether the owner intended it to or not, this car is a real mess on the exterior, most of the paint has cracked, and the front wings are very crunchy at the front! Still, I think it looks rather good, and a bit of a sleeper I imagine.

A bit of a 'bitsa', as the forks have been replaced at some point, but otherwise a fairly original Raleigh, still in its factory enamel.

Home after a 60 km. trip.

Another bitsa bike.

Originally it was a very cheap el bike. One of the sort that runs for 3 months, breaks down and then its impossible to buy spares so the bike is scrapped.

I got frame and forks for free and the rest is parts I had in the workshop.

The frame bag is, made to measure from Endless Trails in Sweden.

Can anyone give me info on this tractor, please?

Dad's bitsa Rudge outside the garage at Cock Bank Wood, nr Wrexham. The engine was ex works dirt track and numbered 230. It came from Roy Evans. Dad found the frame and gearbox in a scrapyard near Shrewsbury. He built the bike for sprinting. Me, well, wellies and a bow tie of course. I note that this frame has a curved downtube so is not the frame that he used for the final build. The bike is now in the hands of Rune Grendell in Sweden. jan 2014.

Dealing with a dead Iveco (the best sort!)

This is a something of a 'bitsa' machine, I gather , but based on a 400 Series chassis (or maybe 2 different ones!) and fitted with a Rolls Eagle and a 4-11 cab

This beautiful motorcycle visited my local pub the "William IV" Bletchingley tonight.Very, very nice. Not bad for a bike that's over 70 years old.....The mate who owns this bike has just built another..https://youtu.be/NBm5nURTxzM

I'm not sure what this beast is which we stumbled upon in Gzira last autumn. Looks like a typical Maltese 'bitsa' machine....

For quite a few years in the 1990s we had this Morris Minor Tourer (362 JGU) as the family classic car. It was something of a bitsa, having started life as a 1952 Series MM with the 803cc engine but had all the mechanical parts transplanted from a 1000 saloon and also been re-registered at some point. This is the Classix model with some modifications to represent this split-screen car with its non-standard red hood and silver wheels.

Bagshot Breakfast Meet - Sunday, 9th. August 2020

Winner of the 1977 Pirelli/CCC Championship. Lockey campaigned Datsuns (and a Datsun-engined Metro!) for many years. Elements of one of his later cars still live on today.

This 1200 Coupe (B110 model) is sponsored by Bradleys of Peterlee and is unusual for being on a 1975/76 P-reg. Maybe it was a reshelled bitsa? DVLA weren't so fussy about giving out age-related registrations back then...

Some more info about a similar car using some Lockey bits here: www.ratdat.com/?p=170

This looks a real bitsa. Not sure which panesl she has aquired, the PBT ones, or the white ones.

My two dogs enjoy an early morning run. They were joined by a poodle x which happened to be nearby.

A quick introduction. a brief sniff of each others bum...and off they went.

Avro 504K trainer E449 on display in the Grahame-White Factory is in fact a 'bitsa' of two different aircraft. Components of 1920s 504K G-EBJE and 1918 548A G-EBKN were combined together at restoration from 1963-6 to see the fine aircraft now at Hendon.
