A bit cliche'd and into the sun but hey ho... (tried HDR but ended up liking this unprocessed shot most)

The flower looks a bit similar to a garland chrysanthemum. Some information i came across was that Chrysanthemums were often depicted on headstones [moreso with long stems] to indicate either a life well lived or a long life.

Bit.fall, by German artist Julius Popp, is a two-story pulsing waterfall of 128 computer-controlled nozzles that briefly drip a display of words streamed from real-time Google searches.
A bit late this year as I needed to change the soil in the greenhouse bed & it took me longer than i expected to get it done.
I have gardners delight and roma (a plum tomato) which I grew from seed. I have also put in a couple of bought plants: Alicante and Ailsa Craig for some variety.
More experiments before actually starting to take images for the day on testing day, playing with focal planes in-camera and nostalgic look for the post processing. Its a bit of fun as Neil prepped the car for scrutineering to be done.
Some new shiny bits from Pacenti...The Pacenti Paris-Brest crown on the bottom and the dropouts are going together for a single speed or fixed gear road bike. Also got some rack eyes, good times...

Bit of a blast from the past at Preston as former West Coast Main Line regular 86259 "Les Ross" rolls in with the returning "Cathedrals Express" which also been hauled with Class 7MT "Brittania" too on the Northern section. It annoys me somewhat that they cannot leave original names on locomotives if they did that with steam there would be an outcry! As far as I,m concerned this locomotive is called "PETER PAN" a name that familiar to almost anyone!!

Scenes from the Flea market. I always enjoy going to those, to find new things and watch others doing the same

Long overdue, here is the first roll out from my new Contax G1 with the 35/2. I really love this camera, more than I would have ever guessed. I never wanted a autofocus compact, and yet here we are.

This is a stereographic (3D) image in 'cross-view' format.
To see it in stereo you point your nose at the line dividing the two images, then slowly cross your eyes.
When you see them fuse together in the middle as a third image you'll be seeing it in stereo!
I have two tattoos and this one is my second.

Some say very girly (mostly folk in work) but what does their opinion count ?
Just a couple more bits I built for STEAM. The tripod bots are very poseable, and they can just about stand on two legs, leaving on from grabbing.
The little alien walker gun thing was initially self-propelled, hence the head unit with the red eye. But sticking an alien on the back just looked absurd, so naturally I kept it.
The quadbike is an iteration on a UNSC Mongoose I built about 2 decades ago, it feels like. It's a little bulkier over the rear wheels that I'd like, I might try to slim it back down to 4-wide instead of 5. Exploded pic for those who are interested.
And that's my backlog caught up with. For now...
There's a little bit of lawn I leave by the treeline, left to rise in the morning sun, set to shade by mid-afternoon. It's growing wild, in a small sliver between the thick shelter of the forest floor, and blades of grass that I mow flat all summer. A natural meadow rising, ever since I excised the competing wild roses and happily let anything else take their place. For the first nine years of my life, there was an empty lot between my house and the next. That's when I learned to love the world of waist-high nature, rising and swaying and going to seed, and only May through October to get it all done. It's been said that the variety of life in a square foot of meadow rivals any other comparable habitat in the world. Get down on the level, and I'm sure you'll see it too.
