Sinister Peak (right) is a striking peak, and possibly the most remote out of Washington's 100 highest mountains. Despite close proximity to its next-door neighbor Dome Peak (left), Sinister Peak is often overlooked due to Dome Peak's massive Gothic structure. Dome Peak is among one of the popular Cascade classic climbs / 險惡峯是一座顯著的高峯，也有可能是華盛頓州前100峯中最偏遠的一座。儘管險惡峯緊靠著隔壁鄰居巨蛋峯，往往因為巨蛋峯的大規模哥特式結構而被忽略掉。巨蛋峯是受歡迎的喀斯喀特山脈經典攀登其中之一
The colour went a bit mad on this one.(the mixture is actually the same as in X-Gum-5 & X-Gum-6 ) colour comes from the purple gel sheet on the front flash unit

Technical Bit
Taken using a Camera Axe 4, Nikon D7000 fitted with a Sigma 150 macro lens,
The splash was made using water mixed with a little xanthan gum and a bit of pink acrylic paint dropped into a tray of water with a bit of light green acrylic paint and a little rinse aid.
The shot was lit by Two Yongnuo YN560 Speedlights , one placed at the rear behind frosted glass with some red and blue gel sheet to give a little colour, the second placed to the side with some purple gel sheet to give a little modeling light to the splash
A bit of a reach back but remember I told you I shot a couple gig of them in one day in early July.
Feel like I have been chasing my tail all week getting things ready for the annual fall trip to northern Alaska. We call it going to moose camp, but that has become a joke. I actually loaded my rifle 5 years ago when a griz was just sure I might be something to eat or at least be interesting. I got up moved around, talked to it and hollered all to no avail. He was at 40-50 yards at that point just walking and sniffing nothing aggressive. Discretion being the better part of valor I locked and loaded. At the sound of the bolt going closed you would have thought someone had hit him with a hotstick in a wet spot.Much to my delight it was away from me. Last I saw he was tearing up through a willow patch at high speed. 3 of us have been making this trip the last 15 years or so. In the early years we all hunted very hard but now we are down to 1 who actually hunts with a rifle the other 2 of us both hunt with a camera.
The possible targets there are, mountains,fall colors, 2 species of grouse and 1 species of ptarmigan, fox, lynx, wonderful sunrise and sunsets, northernlights, a full moon, Sandhill Cranes by the 10s of thousnds, moose, bear, Wild Bison, fungus, last of the migrating passerines, snow (oh No LOL) gray jays,3 toed woodpeckers, flickers, weasel, and the list goes on and on.
Lots of 4 wheeling on our wheelers. I norm get around 500 miles during the trip.
Wow that was a long way to tell you that I will be gone come Saturday and plan to be up that way for 12-15 days. Weather will drive that a bit.

He died at the age of 11, I was 10, my cousin Darren, of leukemia. Diagnosed in kindergarten, the age my daughter is now, all I could think in my 5 year old mind was "How could God be so damn cruel!" Darren was so beautiful, giant roly-poly curls like a black halo around his head. We were in my aunt's wedding together, he the ring bearer, I the flower girl. It was the last time I saw him well. When he died I cried every night for about a year...and talked to him. We didn't see each other very often before he passed, a few times a year at major holidays, but i always thought he must be perfect, an angel; God gave all perfect children curls AND freckles like Darren...I only had freckles.
Darren collected miniature toys and bits of odds and ends before he died. When I went back to Ohio this summer to visit my aunt, I stood and looked at his collection hanging on the wall of her log cabin. Little itty-bitty spiderwebs had tendril-ed their way amongst the trinkets. Each little bit lovelier than that next...all together a magical collection. The little rabbit's head and tiny box of tools were by far my favorite....maybe they were his favorite too...and I felt him there!

Hmmm.... By far my best work... Its a panograph constructed using over 35 snaps by merging pics in photoshop.. (I lost count of the snaps :-)
I spent over 16 hours to put all the pics together and make sure they merge properly..

This is my college BITS-Pilani where I am doing my engineering in Electronics & Electrical...
This place is the reason why I am what I am today ! I stepped in this institution during the early monsoons of 2004 and its been almost 4 years here..
When I came here I didn't know what to expect.. Felt I won't enjoy this place and just wanted to spend my four years & move ahead.. But God had other plans..
Time flew and I feel in love with this place.. Though its a very boring place to live but still it taught me a lot.. Met lots of people... Made lots of friends.. Today I am almost on the verge of passing out.. Though I am looking forward to the life I have after this but there is a feeling of sadness coz I will have to move ahead.. All the fun I have had, friends, the enthu... I will miss it.. :-(
