(bit of a monster this one) Bagged it with my 100mm series E, with manual focus and aperture.

Bit of a cheesy reflection shot bagged of 66143 + 66021 working 0F57 14:50 St Blazey - Westbury Down Yard, some 31 minutes early, the last ever locomotives to work under Lostwithiel's semaphores. Someone had tried to use the old BR depot run headcode for Westbury (0F75) but that was already in use for a Bescot - Westbury run that day so 0F57 would have to do!

Bit of bokeh while I wait for my KFC

Sorry I am a bit late to the flirty Friday party today.

Rare visitor to Wildwood Park, perched on a dead limb to do a bit of grooming.

Since I only had 114 photos to work with, this time slice image came out a little choppy, but I kind of like the look of it. It reminds me of the 16-bit graphics in the video games I played as a kid.

So I've had a bit of a emotional wobble recently (hence no new pics for little while), well certainly since returning from Berlin. At the heart of it is the realisation that after almost 3 years of aiming for this day, it's now around 12 weeks away and I'm about to take the most momentous step in my life.

In all this time I've never had a single doubt that this is who I should be, but a couple of less than helpful remarks (or was it an overdose of ice-cream in Berlin!) and it triggered the whole 'am I doing this for the right reasons' questioning.

Sometimes it's good to question yoursef, it's so easy to get locked in to an echo chamber where everything is confirmed.

Mum and I have talked almost daily since these questions, for a time, overwhelmed me and she helped me see not just my future but also my past in a different light. She's told me when I was very young, pre school, I spent alot of time dressed if not feminine, then certainly ambiguously and with my long blonde hair I was often mistaken for a little girl. I think I've always been female without necessarily having the vocabulary to express that feeling to another person.

Anyways I'm feeling more sure than ever that all that I've done and plan on doing to my body is 100% right for me.

Whilst I'm no professional, if anyone out there is having similar doubts or insecurities don't be afraid to send me a message.

Thank you to all who've listened to me. xxxx

Having a bit of a mess around the other day and have been wanting to try double exposures, borrowed the wife for a nice highlighted profile shot and it seems to have worked pretty well, I am happy with the results anyway :)

All done in cam, minor adjustment of contrast, saturation etc during processing from raw to jpg.

This is the lovely Paige!

I've decided that starting from tonight, I'm going to officially start my 52weeks! A bit of a random time, but I've been wanting to do it for a while, and now I have my new camera I've decided it's now or never!

So yeah, keep an eye out for later tonight! And let me know what you think :D <3

Shower one morning in Oct

A bit of Steelwool and Lightpainting in the twilight hours of the sunrise at Cape Fear with the Super S river slithering in the background. SW swinger was Eric@Mubarak who finally able to spark up the whirly wool using an overkill blotorch. LP was @airbiscuit and was quite funny seeing him running around to beat the beautiful sunrise. The LP of Canon and Nikon is a tribute to the heavyweight of the camera world.

Bit of a golden oldie here. Photography is all about seizing and re-purposing tools. A tribute to my father's old Kodak 828 Pony, with which he worked many wonders.

This was taken on a cruise ship while en route to the South Pacific in late December last year. After soon discovering that there was a photography contest on the boat for pictures captured on the trip, my family persuaded me into entering this one.

A few days later, my photograph was awarded as one of the three runner up's in the contest - what a pleasing result!

Would very much appreciate your critique and opinions.

Thank you so much :)

I use Topaz Denoise on all of my photos: topazlabs.com/ref/519/

The original image was bit too bright and cheery. So I used Topaz Adjust's Dark - Night filter to add some darker hues into the image. While still colorful, it is definitely a good bit darker and more menacing now.

Bit of elegance for this damp weekend.

I was slightly more decisive today - I spotted Daniel's bright red top hat a bit ahead of me and was striding out to catch him when he met up with a girl. I'm not particularly bold at interrupting groups at the best of times let alone when they've just met up but as I happened to be at my favourite stomping ground anyway I loitered for a bit (which is pretty much what I would have done anyway). A few moments later Daniel parted company with his friend and made his escape ...

... but I spotted him (it's difficult to miss such a bright hat)! He was on his own again so I gave chase and with very little hesitation approached him and launched into my normal spiel.

As I have mentioned on so many occasions I was part way through my explanation when I was treated to "that" smile - you know the one ... the smile that is always followed by a "yes".

As I was digging out my camera and getting set I asked him if that was a video camera in the bag slung over his shoulder - I was just looking for a little common ground or something to chat about but I was informed that although it was a video camera bag it was full of magic tricks ... result ;). And even better he then proceeded to extract a pipe and shove it theatrically in his mouth to adopt his pose - now it was my turn to smile ;). This is pretty much my perfect kind of stranger ... bold style, confident, a bit quirky and likely to have an interesting story to tell.

As well as being a magician, Daniel also performs as a balloon artist, juggler, unicyclist and mentalist. He even gave me some tips so perhaps my juggling may progress beyond 3 balls but as that's been my limit for 20+ years I wouldn't hold your breath.

And so to the maddest thing he has ever done. Ahem! Daniel seemed to debate whether to share this publicly but on consideration he agreed ...

Once whilst performing at Gay Pride in Newcastle he was heckled rather crudely ...

Get your **** out!

... so he did!

I love this project - it throws up so many unexpected treats and as I approached a gentleman in a stylish red hat I had no idea what was coming my way.

Thanks for your time today Daniel, it was a pleasure to meet you and I hope that you like the photo.

A little bit better looking, now, in all senses of the word. Last time I photographed this was in 103:105 livery up Princes Avenue in June 2020, so hey - I'm catching up! Erm... repainted into the new livery in late summer 2020, to go on a desperate tangent, part of this batch of buses had the unusual distinction of being allocated to the flagship X46 service between 2013 and the new demonstrator deliveries in 2015. After this, this batch was repurposed and sent off to the University corridor in the aformentioned 103:105 livery for a period of five years. In reality, this isn't exactly unfamiliar territory for 769, and I expect it still regularly plies trade on the 105... and whenever the 103 resumes.

Pulling into Castle Hill Hospital from Castle Road as it comes to the end of an outbound working of the 104 is East Yorkshire's 769, a well-travelled Volvo B9TL Wright Gemini 2.

Bite van noordzeekrab, zuring, citrus en frekeeh

My latest video was mostly a life and channel update (check it out at youtu.be/zaBrJ6RrVnM) but I still managed a few images, and this is one of them

It was the reflections and the light patterns from the moving water that caught my eye. The marina in El Campello, Spain.

A bit of love for the Voodoo.

I gave it a good wash the other day and must admit it was looking rather splendid this morning, so thought it deserved a glamour snap.

I use Simoniz car shampoo and wax on my bikes, and it really does a good job, leaving a good deep and glossy shine that beads water nicely, and also gives the tyres a pleasingly clean and 'new' black look. Good stuff in my opinion.
