A young wild rabbit eating daisies on Ynys Sgomer (Skomer Island). Rabbits are a cause for concern for vegetation communities on the island, having been introduced, but their warrens are utilised by two burrow-nesting bitds (the Puffin and Manx Shearwater).
I have been diligently trying to snap a photo of a red-bellied nuthatch for the last month or more -- they're here, but cagey, not interested in being photographed, beep-beeping around the yard always out of sight. But today, there were FOUR of them, and they didn't give a damn that I was there. SO: photos!
