We took a speedboat out to this beautiful island bitd and turtle haven, approx 2km from oour fabulous hotel Louis zante Beah hotel. right on the nicest part of laganas beach. Perfect recreational activities, the beach is a nesting site for the loggerhead turtles, which are avidly monitored and protected by wardens. Each turtle that lays its eggs in the sandy beach is marked with a small frame to prevent beach lovers getting too close. The turtles come onto the beach isually during the early dark hours. Every evening a dedicated team of wardens patrol the whole area to pevent intrusive walks by vistitors/ tourists. we simply loved it!!
